In this paper, we provide an overview of the history and sociolinguistic setting Germans German in Namibia, which serves as a backdrop for our discussion two grammatical innovations Namibian German. has been actively used Namibia since 1880s, having brought to country through colonization, it remains linguistically vital today. Via questionnaire study, investigate expanded use German, namely, i) linking elements ii) gehen future auxiliary. We explore various factors that could have contributed emergence these order better understand dynamics multilingual Namibia.*
